Tastings on the Mincio River

Tastings on the Mincio River

16 April 2016

On the second day of our tour in Mantua, we sent our team of bloggers and instagramers out to explore some more of the city, getting an in-depth tour of Palazzo Ducale and Palazzo Te, two of the most important monuments in town. With an expert guide, they were taught all about the different halls, their extravagant decorations and what makes each location so unique! There is plenty of history to be discovered here…Mantua is the 2016 Italian Capital of Culture after all! When the morning tour was over, our team stopped for an incredible meal of Mantua’s famous pumpkin tortelli, roasted meat, and sbrisolona. After a bit of rest, it was all coasting as the team jumped on a boat to see the Mincio River and to get a tasting of some of the local products. As the day came to an end, we were treated to quite the sunset…
