Journey through the Bossico Plateau
2 August 2016
They say the mountain air is good for the mind, body, and soul and here on the Bossico Plateau, the air mixes with that from the lake below for the perfect conditions. The small village of Bossico is inhabited by less than 1000 people and a stroll through the lush green pastures, flourishing woods, and homes from the 19th century with views of the entire lake make for an incredibly unique experience.
Here the farms transform from one season to the next, from vivid green, to yellow and deep red. Home to unique cheeses and meats that are produced locally, taking on the character of the landscapes. The stunning region invites visitors to explore and contemplate, with panoramas that make for an amazing getaway to unplug.
