Culture, Cuisine, and Costumes in Bergamo

@ | 13 February 2016

It’s day 3 of our very first tour discovering Bergamo and we’ve split the group up to uncover some different aspects of the city…

Bloggers woke up to explore the Castello di Malpaga, an incredible feat of architecture, before hitting the kitchen to whip up their very own lunches inside the castle! When it was all said and done they got a special tour, but with a unique twist… they were dressed in traditional costumes! In the afternoon, the group headed over to Scanzorosciate, a small village in Val Seriana. Once there, they got a sneak peek into the Biava Cellars and the production of Moscato wine – obviously before a fabulous tasting! Now, as the clock strikes 8 PM, they’re on their way back to Bergamo for dinner at Ristorante da Mimmo…

Meanwhile, our instagramers awoke to adventure off to Valle Imagna, visiting the Romanesque gems of Almenno San Bartolomeo and San Salvatore. They got a behind-the-scenes look at the vineyards and cellars of Lurani Cernuschi before lunch at the Ristorante La Frasca. In the afternoon they were on a free for all back in Bergamo with a list of suggestions. Now, as the clock strikes 8 PM, they’re on their way back to Bergamo for dinner at Ristorante da Mimmo
