Como and Lecco from Above

Here over Lake Como, there are countless hotspots to get an eyeful of the incredible landscapes and panoramas of the territory. In the two largest cities, Como and Lecco, you can discover breathtaking views from Brunate and Piani d’Erna respectively.
Take a trip on the funicular train from the city of Como up to the village of Brunate, where in just 7 minutes you’ll have climbed over 700 meters! From here you can enjoy some gorgeous panoramas and the Noble Villas of the people of Como and Milan.
Just behind Lecco, there’s another funicular train that will take you to Piani d’Erna in just 5 minutes. The area is perfect for hiking, with plenty of lodges, resting points, and of course, views!
There’s also an adventure park here where you can climb among the trees (even the little ones). During the winter season, you can go sledding or snowshoeing!
The train can here in Lecco can be easily reached by car or with public transportation (bus 5 from the city center).

Mount Bisbino (m 1325) above Cernobbio, Sacro Monte della Madonna del Soccorso, above Ossuccio, the Church of San Martino, above Griante, views of the upper lake from the village of Peglio (m 650) the villages “suspended in” Monte Piatto (m 610), Molina (m 467) Lemna (m 533) and Palanzo (m 596) along the coast between Como and Bellagio; Vezio Castle (m 383) above Varenna, the Sanctuary of the Rocchetta at Airuno, and Monte Sighignola (m 1302), above Lanzo d’Intelvi, with an incredible view of the entire Lake Lugano.
