Via Francisca del Lucomagno – the Ancient Pilgrimage Route

510 kilometers that retrace the old Roman-Longobard way, starting from the center of Europe, passing through Switzerland and Pavia, till the well-known Via Francigena. Part of this beautiful way, easy to walk or bike thanks to the trail makers and the cycle routes, is situated in the Province of Varese, and passes by two UNESCO sites: Castelseprio and the Monastery of Santa Maria Assunta in Cairate, and by some other buildings of the Lombard era among which the Convent of Torba in Gornate Olona.
